3-wave guardrail roll forming machine is used to produce 3-wave guardrails as per customer requirements. The 3-wave guardrail making machine mainly consists of 6-ton decoiler and its base, leveling device, guiding device, servo feeding device, punching device, guardrail roll former, shearing device, runout table, and hydraulic and electric control system. The 3-wave guardrail roll forming machine can continuously form steel sheets and automatically cut to length with PLC control and AC (alternating current) frequency conversion.

Components Description & Parameter

1. Decoiler
Hydraulically expand mandrel, Electric Motor drives mandrel to decoil, with press arm.Operation Mode is Inching, the decoiler with a Brake Equipment.

2. Leveling device (shovel head excluded)

3. Servo feeding device: controlled by servo motor.

4. Punching device
(1) It is designed with multi-punching units to punch holes for 3-wave guardrails.
(2) Punching speed: 40times/min (the time for feeding materials is excluded).

5. Loop device
Carrier rolls surface with galvanized treatment.

6. Roll former
(1) Structure
a. This roll former adopts the separate column station structure.
b. Parameter
Number of roller stations: about 20 (as per actual design)
Shaft diameter: Ø90 - Ø100mm (as per actual design)
Roller station material: QT270
Shaft material: 40Cr with thermal refining treatment
Roll former motor power: about 55kW

(2) Roller material
a. Roller material: Cr12, after quenching the hardness reaches HRC 58 - 62.
b. Polished surface finish.

7. Post-cutting device
(1) Hydraulic cutting.
(2) Rated pressure of hydraulic system: 20MPa.

8. Runout table
This table consists of support and rollers. It can support 2 pieces of panels with each piece as long as 3 meters.

9. Hydraulic system
It consists of motor oil pump, hydraulic valve, manometer, filter and so on.

10. Electric control section
(1) Mitsubishi PLC.
(2) Language of PLC system: English.
(3) Omron encoder.

Safety Precautions & Transportation
1. Moving elements are covered with shield, and painted with caution marks.
2. Looping pit for guardrail should be set in the buyer’s factory.
3. Before loading container, each part should be coated with antirust oil (except that the surface is covered with paint).
